(G) shouldn't my late 2002 punto have a passenger airbag?

Hi,ive just bought a late 2002 punto,it has fait 14"alloys elec/f.winds c/locking radio cd player p/steering+citymode abs drivers airbag met.paint t/computer
co-ord bumpers,the car is 3dr,it does not have a passangers airbag,can anyone shed any light on this as i thought drivers and passangers airbag

the air bag is part of the dash see above the monitor

Hi,thanks for your help, my dash is similar but it does not have the airbag
on the passangers side,the grey dash is one continouis peace,and there is no
place at the side to turn the airbag if you where to use a child seat,thanks

Mixed spec irish car?

I thought all puntos (mk2) 99 onwards had drivers and passenger airbags maybe like someone has said its an import from Ireland, my sisters Micra is an Irish import, base model except it has extras!

Passenger airbags were optional on the early cars (I've worked on many in my time).

but 2002 is a late car they stopped the mk2 in march/aprill 03 in the uk

I have seen them without pass airbags (dont ask me what year they were I ain't that sad to keep a record) even seen them without electric power steering.

no, proper manual steering, imediate response excellent feel of the road thru the steering wheel, also less weight and less to go wrong

the strut tops are simply reversed to make the steering lighter for non power steering types so there just ike mk1 steering really

very light very responsive

just a little heavier at low speeds that's all
