Oil leak - making alternator smoke, realy badly!

Hi there, just passed my test on tuesday! woot

anyways, I done a 70 mile trip today in my punto S 60 MK1, and got home, there is a real bad oil leak, i dont have a clue where it is coming from, but it is all over the timing belt and is all over the alternator. When the engine is just ticking over, and i knock the lights on, the engine smokes soooo bad, you can barely even see inside the bonnet...
Does anyone know where the oil might be coming from? and how much it will be to get fixed?

Last december it had a new head gasket and sump fitted, but my dad said when the sump was fitted, the seals werent replaced, they just left the old ones in... would this be the problem maybe?

not unless its gravity resistant oil.
most likely its the rocker cover gasket.i assume you can actually see the oil leaking?

id doubt it, the sumps below the altenator.

My first port of call would be the rocker cover seal. Take the air filter box off and look for signs of oil from the top the the engine running down the sides.
