| Removing wiper arms My punto has suffered the typical wiper bush failure. To do any kind of fix I need to get the wipers off so I can take the linkage assembly out. I've followed the instructions in haynes and undone the bolts for each wiper and for the life of me cannot remove them. What am I missing here?

| Re: Removing wiper arms Humm I'll keep trying then. I'm just a bit worried about breaking something. Thanks for the link. I was thinking more along the lines of drill hole/put in a pin rather than a £65 fix though!

| Re: Removing wiper arms Thanks, I missed that. Looks like a quality fix. To fit this I assume I will still have to remove the wiper assembly?

| Re: Removing wiper arms
I am assuming that the wiper arm is a splined fit so any pulling/wiggling should not include any rotation

| Re: Removing wiper arms I had the same problem. Someone glued the covers on so I couldn't get them off at all. I put the wipers on and switched the engine off when they were mid swing. That exposed the bushing. Drill with a long drill bit and pin it with a bolt and two nuts tightened against each other. I put some tape to stop them coming loose but they haven't needed it. Only problem is the wipers only swing 90 to 95% of what they did at the beginning. Saved a good bit of cash though. Didn't have 30£ fixes when my bushings went.
