(G) windows

Has anyone hada a problem with the front windows, on a 3dr mk1 60s, coming of the winding mechanism. mine started to do it a while back but on sat it came completely of. when i took the door card of i couldn't get the winder of and my haynes manual only had instuctions for electric windows. I managed to work around this but i noticed that the reasdon it was coming of is because the small bit of plastic that goes though a hole in the window is broken does any one no how to fix this as it is inside door. is it a case of going to fiat or can i do this my self.

you need to get new circle clips for them., there what hold the glass in place, there usually white or green, beau might still have a few pics of them i sent him., as for the window winder, you need to get either a small screw driver down behind it to pop the circlip off or get a piece of cloth and run it behind it to catch the edge of the clip and pull it out.,

when your looking for the new parts you'll only really need the circle bit so go to the scrappies and get them, otherwise it means removing the window mechanism and a whole load of other hassle to fit complete new ones., so then just clip the circle bits over your existing pins that go through the glass and your done.,

ok cheers mate. im guessing it can be done with out taking the whole mechanism out or is it necessary to take it all out, and how do they go though the window as they look like one piece. thanks for you help
