Remapped JTD Clutches.

Well, is that the one I should get?

Who was/is the guy with the 160bhp black 5dr jtd punto? Apparently he had a clutch that handled that power fine

Getting that to 160bhp must have cost a fortune!

You sure it was a Punto?

Re: Remapped JTD Clutches.

Anyone have any experience with this company or this clutch?

It comes to €341.60 EUR (roughly £233 GBP) - that includes shipping to the UK, which doesn't seem to bad. I would be willing to pay that if it could handle the power of a remapped JTD without issue.

Power handling won't give you an idea whether the clutch can take it. It is necessary to know the torque rating for the clutch and should be some margin below the peak torque delivery of your engine.

I have emailed the company asking for the torque rating for this clutch and any other additional information. I will post back here when/if they reply.

Re: Remapped JTD Clutches.

Sorry for the double post, here is their reply:

Hello Steve,

the clutch kit has been developed specifically for remapped Fiat 188 engines.
It is a straight fit and always in stock.
http://www.ricambituning.it/en/produ...to%20II&md=103

Due to a fair competition agreement with other manufacturers we do not release torque rating information, at it could be biased by several factors, including installation skills.

Our customer satisfaction rate on this product is 100%.

We will be closed next monday and tuesday for bank holiday, reopening May 2nd.

Thanks and regards,

Alessio Battuello

Re: Remapped JTD Clutches.

Re: Remapped JTD Clutches.

I've had a think, and really we do need to get some figure from them, cos I think there are at least 5 people here that would want one, probably 10. THe stuff about 'competition with rivals' and 'how its fitted' smells like bull**** to me, how do I contact them? (or the guy who contacted them before, could you say that we'll take 5 if we know it'll hold 210ft/lbs)

I've already contacted them asking if it could handle 210lbft of torque, I am still waiting for a reply. They probably won't reply until Wednesday 2nd May as they said that they are closed on Monday and Tuesday.

When (if?) they reply I will post back here.

Nope, they never replied to my email asking if it could handle 210lbft of torque.

Is this the only uprated clutch that will fit the Punto JTD?
