Smokey Engine?

My 85 16v appears to smoke on full throttle....its only done 53k so it shouldnt be engine wear also it only seems to do it at night....(you can only see the haze in the head lamps of other cars..) in the day its invisible also it doesn't do it when cold(cos thrashing cold cars is just plain dumb),only times i've seen it are motorway slip roads, noticed it when i first got it in september (at 43k) but it seemed to quit doing it after a couple of thrashes...but noticed it again last night....wondering what could be up....thinking mebbe its a bit overfueled or summat....

Re: Smokey Engine?

Smoke usually means oil being burnt in the engine (Could be head gasket, piston rings, etc) then again it could just be nothing... but as vtec said, a compression test will eliminate both of these possibilities...
