(G) 2 Buy Or Not 2 Buy

hi everyone, i found this site when browsing!!! basically i am currently in the process of buying my first car and ive got my heart set on a fiat punto!! but after doing some research on the net ive found alot of negative feedback from fiat owners!!

just hoping for some advice or opinions from anyone who has first hand experience of the car, to help me make my decision!! a quick reply would b great as i am going 2 view one tomorrow!! (its an xreg by the way)

i will be fine, theres lots of stuff on the net because people only tend to post when they have a problem, good thing with the punto is if anything does go wrong with it there are 100s of people here willing to help for free

Punto's are great, like every car they have "character" but as long as you look after her, she won't let you down.

What spec is the one you're looking at?

My punto Mk2 is my first car great not had many problems that have not been solved without dealers and labour costs. This forum is very useful for problem solving and plenty of people who are having the same or similar problems, all for free!!!

Yup people mainly post there problems as always on any forum but they only do that and come here because they really like there cars.

what model did you get? ive got a Mk2A 1.2 8v and apart from changing an injector, ive had no problems whatsoever with her! cant complain! (also changed a clutch but that was my doing )

i have to say i love my lil punto had a couple of problems but nothing i couldnt sort out myself.
i was told by loads of ppl not to get one but im glad i did.
i hope you enjoy your punto experience like i have.

A friend of mine is thinking about buying a Fiat Punto after hers was written off, but at her price the one's she's looking at tend to have fairly high mileage... eg 84k... is there a mileage not to go past or anything we should be looking at when looking at Puntos?

how much she got?

850ish max. Looking to replace a T reg Punto with similar age. (maybe a bit older, but ideally around the same)
