If you have a 2012 onwards Punto does your car have a safety device requiring the clutch to be depressed before starting?

Do you need to have the clutch down before the ignition will start? Mine doesn't have this. I thought all modern cars did

OP is asking if the starter motor is disabled by the clutch pedal switch , when clutch pedal is up.

This is very common in USA so that the average person can't try and start car in gear with clutch pedal up.

Some cars with a start/stop system on you have to press clutch down to enable start sequence.
These cars/makes i know of as we have had them in the past did (mini - vauxhall(mokka)) we currently have a focus ecoboost boost but i haven't driven or started that yet so iam not sure for fords.
However with the fiat system in punto (and 500 you dont)
