Have got a five door punto easy (2013), having real problems getting baby seat in, not enough depth and seat belt won't go round!! Anyone else had this?

Got the maxi-cosi easi-base 2 in my punto. Fits no problem and then you can just clunk baby seat in and out :)

Hi blackJTD,

Just picked up our 62 plate 1.4 Easy on Thursday (will introduce myself properly on this section in the next couple of days when I have a bit more time!:))

We previously had a 500 and Panda and never had any trouble getting the seatbelt round the back of our youngest one's car seat (it's a Maxi Cosi Streety one, no Isofix mind).

However, I am having exactly the same trouble as you now - there isn't enough length in the seatbelt to pull it round the back. Don't think we have any option but to look for another car seat as putting our youngest in the front isn't really what we want to do.

I can't believe the Punto would have shorter rear seatbelts than a 500 or Panda - surely?!!!

Further to my post above, we took the plunge and bought a new Maxi Cosi Cabriofix seat with EasyFix base. Got it all in for £155 off the Boots website which was pretty good going (some discounts included).

Bit of a frustrating purchase as it is only going to be used for a few more months, but on the flip side at least it gives us some peace of mind now.

Anyway, I did some measurements and basically if your Group 0 car seat is 65cm or longer in terms of depth, it's highly unlikely that you will be able to use it unless you have an Isofix/seatbelt base. The seatbelt just won't loop round the back of the seat.

Still can't believe the Punto has shorter seatbelts in the rear than a 500 or Panda:shrug:
