Looks good.

from the article:
The Italian compact hatch features redesigned and bolder headlights and grille with chrome treatment. The front bumper seems to be also restyled with new chrome outlined fog lights. On the back we find revised stop lights.

was thinking it looked Fiesta"ish"

maybe Fiats got into bed with Ford again like with the KA/500

by the looks its just a new nose and rear bumper. the lights are EVO light.

Just to note.

This is for the Indian Market. The GP was only realeased there 5 years ago and they dont have the EVO, hence the comment "revised tail lights"

The latest Fiat Group presentation suggests the Punto won't now be replaced till 2016. Looks like they plan to launch 500X first (late this year), then a Bravo replacement & 'speciality' model next year. I'd imagine this will be a Fiat/Abarth badged version of what was going to be the Alfa Spider, co-developed with Mazda's MX-5. They decided not to make it an Alfa as they want all Alfa's to be fully produced in Italy from now on.

Originally it was rumoured/suggested that the Punto would be replaced by a 500 5dr. However, in their latest presentation in May, it looks like they plan to split Fiat into 2 catergories - Rational & Aspirational.

Aspirational will be models like the 500, 500L & the 'Speciality' model, with the rest of the range, including Punto, sitting on the rational side of the range. If this is the case then I would imagine it won't be badged 500, meaning the Punto name might not be scrapped afterall. Personally I think keeping the Punto name is a wise move. It's got strong brand identity. Badging the replacement as another 500 model will probably lose them more buyers than it'll gain, since Punto has in the past appealed to both male & female & whilst females love the 500, it's sales to males is a lot lower. They would have to play a blinder to get guys to buy a '500' model I think.

Far too much chrome, but never mind the body what about the engines. Without a multiair 1.4 I wouldn't think about buying one. The current crop of 8v 1.2 and 1.4 units in the Punto is a disgrace, performance wise. Thank goodness I've got a Stilo.

They need bigger engines and more choice, What they need is a 1.6 naturally aspirated engine (not turbo) and more trim options. At the moment they have popular, easy and GBT.

What is needed a cheaper striped down model that costs in the range of 8k and more up the price range with better trim and engines.
