Has anyone else had problems with blemishes appearing on the silver parts of their alloys?? My twinair punto has just had first service & only done 6000 miles. When I collected it I noticed discolourd patches that seem to be under the surface. Have complained to fiat but still waiting for an answer!!

Its a diamond cut finish and if they arent kept clean then the finish will depleat very quickly.
Also, if you take the car to the 'wash while you shop' places then they will use acids on the wheels (so will the dealers when they give you your free wash) which ruins diamond cut finishes.
Youd be better off keeping them clean yourself with a acid free wheel cleaner and dedicated iron removing and tar removing products.

Not studies mine up close..

but I suspect the black parts are Paint + lacquer,
the "bare-metal" bits..are just laquered..

so they ARE protected.. but the colour of any contaminants will show through the clear lacquer..,

I've noticed my alloys are having the same problem. I've created my own thread with pictures. (Thread called 'My Fault or Fiats' in Car Care). If this looks the same, I'm glad it's not something I've done. My Twinair is on 18000 miles, but I take extremely good care of it!

Did Fiat get back to you?

I've had the same problem and after about 2 weeks Fiat got back to me and replaced all four alloys. Hope they did the same for you!
