SPEAKER Wiring Colours

Hi,

After searching across the forum no one seems to know the answer, just a suck it and see attitude.

After taking the head unit out and reading off the Din Connector for the speakers the colours are as follows

Pin 1 Blue Yellow Right Rear +
Pin 2 Blue Red Right Rear -
Pin 3 Pink Black Right Front +
Pin 4 Black Right Front -
Pin 5 Red Black Left Front +
Pin 6 White Black Left Front -
Pin 7 Orange Black Left Rear +
Pin 8 Orange Green Left Rear -

O 1 3 5 7
2 4 6 8

"O" = Keyway and retaining clip

This is as on 1998 Punto 60s 3 door but should be the same across the range

why didnt you just use a haynes manual wiring diagram

Errr!!! not got one,

latest manuals basicaly say take your car to the dealers for most jobs, no more rebuilding gearboxes alterators ect, think hayens fired all their mechs, unless some one out there with a fiat workshop manual (manufactures own manual)

Haynes wiring diagrams are pretty good I find. The workshop manual wiring diagrams are reporduced in the Porters Manual...but they aren't too easy to read.
