(T) Punto selecta rear suspension problems (1996)

Has anybody got the same problem as me? That the rear suspension sounds as though it trying to part company from the chassis, it recently passed MOT with the renewal of one trailing arm which did not cure the problem I`ve had back seats out spare wheel out.
Its more of a thumping sound rather then metalic or knocking. Very bad over bumps.

Any thoughts much appreceiated.

This may sound a little strange, but have you made sure it's not coming from the seats? The only reason I mention this is because sometimes they bang against the plastic panel and make a truly terrible din. When you're driving it's hard to see where it's coming from. Putting a little blu-tack between the rubber stopper on the seat and the plastic often cure it.

You do mention you've had the seats out though... hmm.B) Is it coming from one side?

Spirito di Punto | M-reg 55SX, black, 5dr. Clear repeaters. Remote locking fitted, no light confirmation yet though - need relay fitted

What's the other suspension arm like, normally both are worn to some degree, maybe it is worn but good enough for a mot (still they should have told you).
The other thing which must be fitted to every 176 punto by now is the (front) rear axle mounting cups. Did that make sense?
Dead easy to fit if needed.
