Timing belt and tensioner for Fiat Punto

What mileage shoould i change the timing belt on my Fiat Punto Mk.1, as far as im aware it hasnt ben changed and its done 49000

although normal timing belt changed at 70000 it is strongly reccoumened that you change the belt after 40000 miles (espically if you do alot of stop\start driving) as a broken belt can cause severe engine damage. best to get it done at next service.

a broken belt will not cause servere engine damage, its a safe engine. After 49k, yeah change it
