maf problem

hi to everyone newcomer to this site take it easy with me please i dissconected my maf on the advice of someone on this site but would like to renew /clean can they be cleaned or should i just buy new i have seen one on line from a firm called webcon for fifty is this a good price my car is a punto 1.9 jtd turbo diesel 2002 100 bhp i think not a mechanic one more bit of help have seen a tuning box on line from a co called fiat performance tuning ar they any good and would i have to uprate my cluth not looking to uprate my car to much but wouldnt mind a bit more power thanks for any help

i've heard that the cheap maf sensors don't last very long.
your car will be 80/85bhp, the add on tuning boxes are ok but not as good as a remap.
you may need a new clutch if yours is on its way out not nessasarily an uprated one as i have a standard clutch and a remap

thanks for your reply have been offerd a boch maf for 85 plus vat bye europarts old trafford what do you think might go with that thanks for your help bye the way have also been offered a remap for 300 bye more bhp.com what do you think of price thanks for your help

i paid £112 for mine from fiat so £85 is a good price.
there are rolling road days at red dot watford and you can get a remap and rollong road before and after printout for £199, check out the events section for the next one
