(T) weird sunroof problem - please help!

Hi all - first post, nice to see some decent forums up for us Fiat owners!

I have a 95 Sporting. I always knew my sunroof was going to go at some point, just a matter of when. Well last night, it did - sort of! Basically it is stuck open (the rear portion is tilted open). I can slide it back approx half the length it can normally travel, and then it stops, although there is a whirring sound when i hold the button down to continue to try to open it. Also, it appears slightly "higher" than normal - by that i mean it appears to be slightly more open than i ever recally it being before. Now, when i look at the rear portion of the sunroof, where it is open, i can see 2 small "hooks" on either side that i don't ever recally seeing before....leading me to believe it's somehow become unhooked from the rails - well at least partially unhooked, as it still slides, it just won't tilt open/closed anymore, or slide fully.

Anyone got any ideas on whats going on?

ive done this loads of times, "me sunroofs stuck open" jobs
its usually the runners which have broken, the best thing too do is to unscrew the sunroof glass/remove and then manually put the runners back into the rest position and re-attatch the glass and never use the sun roof again.
