(T) help! autobox lever.

Cant get the lever out of park.Any ideas gratefully accepted.

is it a mk1? is you foot on the brake?
there a bit on a mk1 to poke your key through to remove the stick lock

Cheers.I,ve just worked out (after pulling it apart)that if i lift the ash tray cover,i can push the plastic bit down to release it.Not ideal,but it will have to do.Thanks again.

UPDATE....it was the solenoid connection.Now it works as it should by foot on brake as you said.Cheers.
