| EOBD System Engine Control System Hi, i am looking to buy my cousins 2001 punto. I had a look arround it today, turned it on, and when i turned it on the EOBS system engine contol light came on and stayed on. What does this mean? the car runs fine with the light on. how much would this cost to fix? thanks for all help given

| ^^^^^^ | Re: EOBD System Engine Control System Hi mate and WELCOME TO THE FORUM! Yea, as above, it means that a sensor in the engine has sensed that something is wrong. When it does this, it stores a code in its memory. Connecting the car to a fault code reader or diagnostics machine should give you a clue as to what it is. It could be a simple fix, or it could be something more in depth, but i personally wouldnt be put off buying the car untill you know what the fault code is. Hope that helps, Alan
