R12MUS Dump Valve and more power

Hey there,

I was just woundering how hard will it be for me to fit a dump valve in myself and how long would it take me?

I have a punto mk2 2002.

Also i have an induction kit and a Remus Exhaust, what else can i do to make my car more powerful and faster?

Thanks

Remus

Buy a faster car! Have you got a turbo? If not why would you want a dump valve?

Re: R12MUS Dump Valve and more power

Hi mate,

You can only fit a dump valve to a turbo car, as it basically lets out the excess air created by the turbo when you take your foot off the accelerator.
Other ways to get more power out of your car is a Remap, which is basically where they reprogram your cars computer to tell it to put more fuel into the engine, advance the timing etc etc among many many other things. You could also go down the route of changing your cam shafts for racing or fast road ones.

If you really want a dump valve then you can get a turbo conversion kit for your car but its quite a big job.

Hope that helps,
Alan
