(S) MK2B dials into blue

Hello,

How can i make the backing light of my speedo dials from that orange to blue is there a way to do it and what would i need its a punto mk2b active sport 1.2 8v

Hi, i wish i knew, i have the same problem. 05 mk2b, only thing i could think of s get 80% glass paint and colour the origional display lights

hey, im looking at getting mine done, ive been told its not that easy. i believe dhwigston on the forum offers his services at a small cost he is in leicester i will be contacting him when i get round to doing mine (ATT: dhwigston i havent forgotten about you honest)

i think it involves replacing the led's in the dials themselves. so if you are handy with the olde soldering iron then you could be in luck.

there are LED's you can get on ebay for em, coz i was looking at a set with diffrent LED's included in em, it said they needed soldering up and things.

im just going with the old lockwood dials i fink, nothing too fancy, i am mk1 btw

lucky for you, there are no lockwood or any aftermarket dials for the mk2b i want the sporting dials white background but no joy for the 2B

there may be sum avaliable soon thou, its only coz its fairly new that sum mods ar not made yet

mines and old mk1 so there are thousand avaliable for it. mind you sum nice sporting ones will give a rele nice look i fink, nice 1

i guess, ive heard talks of them being produced eventually but the car is 3yrs old nearly

I might have to go to a customs place in middlesbrough or stockton that can do ti for me i dont thnik have tiem for soldering and all that stuff

Well if its jus a different colour dhwigston does it, so it might be worth getting some quotes, i want to change mine too for sure
