| compensation needed | My Alloys- the joys and troubles Hi all, dont know if this belongs in this section or not so forgive me if not, went to get my alloys yesterday. Arrived and told that they were just waiting for the tyres to arrive so i waited patientially, i had chance to drool over the alloys themselves (pictures to follow) eventually the tyres arrived and were fitted to the alloys. The next step was the bolts, they required wobbly bolts to match the stud pattern. but the bolts supplied were not the right ones there was a bit of a panic as you can imagine (on their behalf not really much by me TBH) then after much searching new bolts were found but these were then too big and this problem was overcome by sanding down to fit (sounds promising ) i was told to check after 40 miles or so that the bolts were tight as wobbly bolts are a bit different to normal ones, this gave me confidence in the alloys.Anyways Problem i now face which i think Dave has told me solution to if it is, when i put full lock on the front wheels are catching on something, dont know what it is, i looked under the arches and there is not much room between the suspension and the tyre, think i need spacers this is where the problem is, as if i get spacers then il need longer wobbly bolts and longer locking nuts Thanks for reading, please post any suggestions Crazy

| oh me gums! | Re: My Alloys- the joys and troubles you can use spacers as the bolts 'wobble' at there head via the collar. find out whats catching to see for example if its just the plastic wheel liner needing trimmed | ||
