(S) Mk1 Badge Painting & De-Badging Queery

Hiya all,
Ive decided to debadge my punto Mk1, ive started by removing the side "60" badges, real easy to do with the hairdryer, there was a little evidence of fading, but ive t-cut it a few times and its looking better: almost un noticible. Will this improve if i continue to t-cut and polish the area?

Im also gonna debadge and fill the holes on the tailgate, will i be ok to: fill the holes, sand the area smooth with some super fine wet n dry paper, then applying the fiat colour match paint with a brush. to finish i wil smooth it out with fine paper, then t-cut and polish (would i need some lacquer or anything similar over the top of the fiat paint?).
Is this the right method to be using; ive done some dent damage around one of my locks before and used this method, it looks good now! What opinions do you have, and is there anyway to thin out the fiat touchup paint, with some common DIY liquid (white spirit etc..) as its quite thick and dries real fast!

Finally i was going to leave the front fiat badge on, however the blue's started to fade slightly, i was thinking of painting the blue bit carefully to match the car colour (red). what sort of paint could i use to do this to prevent fading, or it looking real bad in the future? would my touchup paint be adequate, and would i need to add any lacquer or anything underneath/over the paint?

I just used spray paint on mine. Its a black car, but the paint has faded and its been done for well over a year. The spray was just fiat black.

Just read the other bit about debadging the rear, did that aswell, smoothed it all down and with the same spray paint i sprayed it with primer first then the black. Also followed up with the lacquer to give it that nice shiney finish, didn't think i did a bad job myself. Just take your time doing it all, will be worth it in the end.

first of all, thanks alot for the reply!Where did you get you fiat spray paint from, as my dealer says they will only supply touch up pens, otherwise they say they recommend it going a body shop!
Does anybody think ill need to put lacquer onto the paint, its non-metallic tiziano red, all ive done before is t-cut and polish?!
Also is there a way of thinning the touch up pen down so that it pains on easier, im sure ive heard of a way, but i cant be too sure.

head down to your local halfords, they should be able to mix you up a 300ml can of spray paint for £9.99, a touch up bottle with a wee brush on it for £7.99 and even give you one of them touchup pens if you so wish!!! just supply them your paint code from your VIN plate and your ready to go.

I have a tin of tiziano red for my car. Hardly used it. Just sits on my boot box. Not going to be much used to me shortly as once the body kit is on its gomg to be orange.

How much do you want for it? and can i use it to fill in stone chips, do my tailgate and the front badge? Also Is it from Halfords or Fiat; as fiat said they wouldnt supply anything more than a touch up pen, which is real useless as its too thick and dries too fast for its own good ,
