Question Cheese box filter?!

Like most guys im a lazy ****** and also a cheap skate, sooooo whilst im saving up for a pipercross induction kit and a quality back box im thining of using an old trick i read about which makes the punto growl abit more, where u drill a couple of holes in ur standard filter box (before the filter pad obviously) so more air gets in but its still filtered, good idea or not ???anyone done this already?

One more thing,my mate has just fitted a "cherry bomb" to his punto making it loud as hell and he rekons this wont effect his MOT yet he was told by multiple garages that they dont touch cherry bombs, why is this, are they illegal??? hahah hope so

Re: Cheese box filter?!

i dont see the point in a cherry bomb, they sound same as no exhaust at all, not a nice sound at all. lots of not chav people on here have drilled airbox with no problem
