First Car Styling Help Wanted

Hey guys

After passing my test a few months ago I bought a 1.2 mk2 5dr Punto, It's not colour coded unfortuantly.. I hate the black bumpers I've been looking around the forums and I've seen some very nice rides! Good work guys

Well heres my problem... Having a 5 door makes it difficult for me to get ideas for styling seeing as the majority on the forum are 3 door. Tomorrow my car is getting window tints, now im not sure what to have. Should I go with the legal tint in the front and limo black in the back? From what i've seen.. 3 door puntos look good with it.. or should I go with a barely legal tint all round? Would this suit my 5 door more?

Another question, I hate the black bumpers.. I mean seriously what we're Fiat thinking! I like the bumpers from the 3dr sporting, my question is would they fit on my 5 door?

Any recommendations on how I could style my car on a low budget would be greatly apprieciated.

Thanks

Re: First Car Styling Help Wanted

Hi mate i dont know the possibilitys of spraying the bumpers your self, im sure there are guides around.

Things im going to do to my new punto is remote central locking, spray the centre console silver. Tint windows, spray handles on doors to colour code and also wing mirrors.

Id also like to get a new mini spoiler and colour code.

Aha self spraying.. I didn't think of that Do you think the plastic bumpers would look ok if I sprayed them? I know id have to sand them, prime, coat and laquer but would I get good results?

Ive seen the console and it does look good I've seen the guide for the wing mirrors and handles and i'll definatly do it soon.

Re: First Car Styling Help Wanted

I know 5 doors suck but couldn't you recommend anything dave? My dad brought me my car, it would be very ungrateful of me to sell it.

What about the questions I asked in the first post?

dont try and spray bumpers yourself, too big really...

also, its far easier and much less work to buy some already colour coded bumpers (any colour) and spray them as the black bumpers have the textured effect

Re: First Car Styling Help Wanted

dont get tints at all, get blinds they come up on ebay from time to time and wont affect insurance like tints do http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN:IT&ih=015

and you can just take them out at night to see when reversing or see if the police are folling you
