Mk1 respray

Hi

we own a 1997 p reg fiat punto 60 sx in Black, We love the colour but feel its about time it was treated and given a new coat lol
Because it's already a black car we only require the outside spraying. But have no idea of how much it might cost, thats where i'm hoping you guys could help
we do live ooop north so hopefully cheaper then for those who live down south haha

cheers

kitty

Re: Mk1 respray

just clay it, polish it with a machine ( propper one not £10 one) wax it and seal it, it will look as good as new

Re: Mk1 respray

for the cost of a respray it will be cheaper to sell it and buy a mint condition punto sporting 16v.

Re: Mk1 respray

I knew some would say that lol but I love this car and have no real intention of getting rid of it at any point, so spending some money on it doesn't bother me.

Sporting not really my thing dude haha

Thanks Dave might give that a whirl :-) take it although a proper job takes time it's something I could do myself without too much trouble?

the sporting isnt really that sporting tbh.... its just a more luxury model, they are so much better than the 60.

yeah have a look in the car care section for tips

or pay a pro detailer about 100 quid to do it, a lot cheaper than a respray

Re: Mk1 respray

I know a guy who owns a sprayer said I can borrow it, cos mine neds a respray and possibly some new panels due to dents, scrappy time! then Ill just need a nice garage to do the spraying in. Just a case of will it look really rubbish if I do it myself?

depends on your preparation and whether or not you know what you are doing.
