Arrow Need a good price on Momo alloys

Hello again,

After much consideration, I have declined my mates alloys as I want to pay a bit more for a new set - (but not too much)! - Afterall what's a months more saving?

Anyone know the best place to get Momo Corse Silver alloys? The closest I've got is:-

Momo - 4 x 16" + Tyres
http://www.potn.co.uk/p1034171.htm
£ 525.99

Momo - 4 x 15" + Tyres
http://www.alloywheels.com/product.a...22&strSort=Low
£ 355.00

The guantlet has been laid down!

EDIT: Just found a cheaper 16" one..

Re: Calling all alloy specialists...

Good wheel choice

On a serious note, these can be quite rare in 16" in the right fitment for Puntos. When I tried to get hold of a black set I had them on order for over 6 months without getting anywhere. But that was 2 years ago, so things might have changed...

I'd ring up those companies and make sure they actually have them in stock. Don't let them fob you off with promise after promise! If you could find a set on eBay that would probably get you the best price! But you could be waiting a while.

Re: Calling all alloy specialists...

so do you reckon getting 15"s is a better choice? They won't look too small will they?

What did they look like before you did the lowering?

Are yours an 16 pcd 4x100 - 38?

Cheers,

Dave

Yes 15's would probably be better tyres would be cheaper too as a 16 is not a very common size and tyres can be difficult to find and cost as much if not more than 17's

If you want to save money on tyres, and not sacrifice as much acceleration then yes 15s would be the best choice. On a standard ride height it might look a little bit odd, but once lowered it should help make the wheels look bigger than they are, but I suppose it depends on tyre size can afffect this too.

A Punto on 16s without lowering looks a bit like a Punto 4x4

Yes.

Re: Calling all alloy specialists...

thanks for this. I think I'll probably get 15's - can anyone link me to a picture in the gallery that has 15's without lowering?

ps- just got my janspeed exhaust fitted today at Kwik Fit (Yeah I know they're rip-off merchants), but luckily enough I managed to get my down pipe, and exhaust system for £325 fully fitted, they even chucked in a new lambard sensor cos they destroyed it. Not bad imo. But pretty lucky.

Also - one more question: did you need spacers with your 38 offset? or can a mk1 punto take it?

Thanks!

If you decide to go for the 16s, give a POTN a call and ask to speak to me. I might be able to do them a bit cheaper for you

Re: Calling all alloy specialists...

Guys - just got the wheels today and fitted them. In order to do this, I have taken out the 2 pegs on each wheels harness that were stopping it getting on - is this ok?! I've driven it, seems fine, but just a bit warey - please let me know if this is fine!
