Rally Lights

hey,

iv been thinking of which route to go down with the punto mk2 of mine. was between euro and rally/race. i think the rally look will be different as loads of euro style cars are out there at the moment. i want to start with things like lowering and wheels but there are some other part thats i want on the car but i cannot find any good/cheap examples.

im after a rally light pod for the bonnet/bumper that will house 4 spot lights.

somthing like in the piks.

any ideas?

cheers

Re: Rally Lights

i like the wider wheel arches on the rally punto (im sure they have them)

i think you may have some Road Law's concerning them lights though

Re: Rally Lights

is there any other suggestions? i would assume they would be road legal if you can have 50 spots on a landy.

i can get the actual lights from anywhere but its the pod i cant find.

ye wide kits are nice but most of them use a jap style set of bumpers - not my thing.

Re: Rally Lights

why not just have a couple of lights in the center or something, maybe 3 in a row.

Re: Rally Lights

Do you have to have the spotlights for your rally project, look at this rally car why don't you replicate this one? The thing is if your punto is normal right now and you put them rally lights on it's just going to look stupid but if instead you make it a rally car then when the project is nearly done think about putting on the rally lights it would be much better in my opinion of course.

Re: Rally Lights

ye the plan was to see if i could get somthing like that really. been looking and on the mini coopers they just have a bar and the lights attach to that. your right it would look pretty poo with the full on lights on the front and every thing else standard. i like to have some parts ready to put on while i wait for other things like alloys and sus' etc.

need to find a nice wide kit tho really, the problem is i dont want to stick big side skirts n bumpers with 4' of open vents cuz i just want to keep it fairly standard in the way of body.

Re: Rally Lights

i think for something like this you'd have to look at fabricating yourself, i cant see anyone stocking this type of thing

that wide arch kit is beautiful though

Re: Rally Lights

I'm pretty sure bodystylist had the kit on his website a while ago, but from what I remember it wasn't cheap!
He will prob be the best person to get in touch with!

Re: Rally Lights

If your looking to go down the Rally route, the best place to look is in the Demon Tweeks Motorsport section, they have the pod you were talking about and a lot of other things. Cages, buckets, harnasses etc etc
