Re: my punto

the problem with a re-spray is that you only get out of it what you put in. For example, a two-day job working from dawn to dusk, by yourself on a budget, will not look any where near as nice as the mansory bentley - its all about the prep work and technique. We certainly couldnt fault you for trying, but the end result will still be worse than the original.

Bodyshops are expensive, but then any big mods are expensive.
Unless you are as lucky as DrEw, who works in his father's body shop, and he can get a good respray whenever he feel like it lol *jealousy*

Re: my punto

his car is the perfect example of a modded, but tasteful, motor IMO.

just realised: he never colourcoded his mirrors though

Re: my punto

ok guys i av been thinking about what to do to my car and im going to:

lower it by 40mm

De-Cat it asap and has anyone done this to there mk2?

Finish the tints on the rear lights as i run out of spray the other day

Fit bucket seats in the front seats

and a Racing steering wheel that can come off

And im thinking of removing all the stickers (apart from the sun strip) and puting the rally punto stickers all over it lol

I think that the list above will be the last things i do to the car and then i will just keep it clean

btw i added a pipe onto my induction kit and had it going to all the cold air and.. OMG did it make a difference!!!!

its not as loud but the sound is a lot deeper which i didnt want but kinda doesnt matter cos im going to de-cat it. The car just feels so much quicker... i really get to 60mph in no time i kinda had to do a custom job of the pipe tho as it only could fit into the throttle body and not the induction kit lol but i sorted it out

Thanks

Remus

Numpty

That just goes to show you know nothing about engine tuning. You NEVER should de-cat a N/A engine unless your replacing it with baffles to keep some back pressure against the engine other wise you will lose most of your low down power and torque just to gain about 2bhp at the upper rev range effectivly making your car slower.

Only time you need to fully de-cat is when Turbo charging.

If thats true his 'mate' should be telling him NOT to de-cat it as its pretty basic stuff tbh.

Probably the same mechanic that fitted his magical imaginary turbo .
