1L Bottle of DOT4 Brake&amp;Clutch Fluid<br />
Possibly a pair of Rear Brake Cylinders<br />
Emery Cloth and Copper Grease<br />

Thanks for the guide, I've replaced brake pads on other cars before (quite sometime ago) so just needed reassurance that there wasn't anything to different.

Safety 1st!

I've not seen any mention of this in the guide, but eye protection should be used when tugging springs with pliers. A friend of one of my friends apparently lost an eye when needlenosed pliers slipped off the springs.....

Can anyone help? We're trying to replace our Mk1 Punto rear brake cylinder but can't get the nut off the back that connects the brake line. It's made of really soft metal and has gone round in our spanner What can we do?
Any help most appreciated... we've spent a week on him so far and it's been tricky at every step. The forum's been great.

i have removed front brake bolts that wouldnt budge with a plumbers wrench

on the other hand

my mk1 punto rear brake cylinder doesnt work and needs to be replaced

yea liquid starts pouring out, but easily stopped by that rubber cap on the cylinder itself
