When I bought my car (used) the dealer assured me the problem with the power steering would be rectified with the installation of the new part. This was back in October and apart from a couple of small glitches my car was pretty much always POWER STEERED. Now however it turns off once every couple of minutes only when I stop and turn the car off for a few minutes will i get another couple of minutes of power steering! It is AWFUL aside from the safety issues! I have noticed the oil light keeps coming on and off, would filling up the oil help at all?? Please somebody help!? is there anything I can do?

....have you checked te oil recently?

just read the link,it seems the power steering offers variable assistance depending on your speed.if the sensor is faulty it will turn off the power steering because it thinks youre doing the ton on the autobahn!

these error code readers are quite cheap to buy,but you need to be sure it has the compatible connector for the punto,then you will know if you need fiats help

what year is punto? did the part ever get replaced?
