I admit it, Im a newbie and I know next to nothing about cars but the radio in my punto has stopped working and I suspect that its speaker connectioins at the radio end and I would like to remove it to check this but I dont know how ????[!]

Any suggestions please ?

wll if its a mk2 punto there are sum lil holes on teh front of the radio and you need a tool called a din remvoal tool. can get them from halfords anyway the tool is a pair of metal u shape thing you slot the ends into teh holes then pull and it pulls the radio out . im not sure if mk1 puntos use the same method but i think they do. someone else with a mk1 on here will confirm or deny it i am sure

mk1 has the same 2 u shaped things, i only had one so i just stuck 2 allen keys in the other side and pulled it out with fingers in the tape hole, you may be able to cut up a wire coat hanger and use that.

i took my mk2 to FIAT and they released it for me with the keys(for free) - Dixon south in leeds

Go down your local pub - chances are there will be a geyzer in there who can remove it in about 5 seconds (and that includes opening the door without the keys!)



(But failing that, I too used the cocktail sticks - work a treat!)
