Has anyone ever heard of stress fractures on Alloys before. I have a set of OZ Volcano's on my Punto i decided to remove them on Saturday to clean them and oh NOOOOOOOOO gasp shock horror there it was a 1/2" crack

Gaz is now crying

Mate how long have you had these wheels cos it`s very unusual fo oz`s to crack like that without you knowing they must be faulty or something i reckon you should return to where you bought them and ask for an explanation

i went back to ripspeed this morning they want the wheel to send it for examination. But they said if there is any damage on the inside rim from a pothole or such like then there will be little they can do

if it was the front wheel mate, i may have an explanation cos I just fitted some o.z superleggera's - when i got back home from the garage, went to put me nuts on them (lockin' nuts that is) and the front ones were baking - i think that the brakes dissipate the heat onto the wheels and that could cause the alloy to become brittle... or maybe i'm talking ****.
peace
