I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me!

What are the service intervals for a Punto 1.9 JTD?
What is in the service sheduale?
When is the cam belt change due?

and I reckon oil change is either 10 or 12k in the jtd.

cam belt, 50k miles would be a good start?

Don't actually have the car yet....

50k for a belt change

12 months or 12k but i think thats only if you use selenia 20k, 6-8k if you only do short trips

Fuel filter should be replaced every 20k for the JTD every 10k for the oil and filter it is 60k for the cambelt should be changed but as said above i would change it around 50k and air filter should be replaced every 20k...

most fuel filters on both petrol and diesel cars doesn't usually get attention till around 80k when the thing grinds to a halt at the side of the road

make sure its been done as per service schedule (theres freaking pages of it, best to look on google or find a manual somewhere).
a group of fiat gronies in the turin factory probably spent months putting together the schedule for each car. so I usually find that if it is followed well enough you'll eliminate 60% of the problems that you could normally get.

Oh well the fiat handbook must be wrong...

some fiats demand 80k, like mine.

but cars like audi's, merc's, ford mundano's etc. demand much earlier/more regular changes

You think a cambelt change every 50k is bad my new Alfa needs it doing every 36k! :bang:.

Also the manual mentions something about the condenser needing emptied every 6K, i dont have the manual as its with the car in Derby with my sister. Is this true, as the cars under warranty and dont want to get caught out.

there's a dash light that comes on if it needs emptying mines never come on think they empty it when its serviced, the canister removes the water from fuel

its probably something they should do, but they don't

I didn't think the JTDs needed the condenser doing? It's only the 1.9D's (Horrible N/A Diesels) that need it every 6k

Yea, i hadnt heard about it on the Bravo forum as alot of members have JTD's, but read it somewhere in the Punto handbook.
