Well ,there is a kinda grinding noise comming from the box, in the lower gears, I've had the clutch & thrust bearing changed at the begining of the year, I just feel that the box needs an oil top-up, could be wrong!!

To the right of the reverse switch at the front of the gear box is a plug,you will need a 12 mm allen key,same size as the sump,remove the plug,level right when oil comes out..................................

Had to buy a new tool for the job!!
But oil now added & the gearbox sounds ok-ish!!

just my 80k miled g'box in my mk1 is not liking its gears at the mo, not that it won't change, just its a bit slower than normal.

failing that I want to either rebuild this 5spd, or the 6spd I have sat in teh garage, done an mk1 mr2 g'box rebuild before with a friend over the course of a week. was great fun
