Hi,
my 2000 mk2 has no handbrake warning lite (i) when handbrake is applied.All display lites checks before starting(before ignition) is good.There should be a sensing switch under the handbrake and could be faulty or fuse.
Any advise?

yeah down near the nand brake, it shouldnt be hard to see how to get to it

when my grilfreinds dad tightend my handbrake, he put the gaiter back on i noticed my handbrake light wasnt working either, on my mk 1 it was just under the handbrake itself and the wire had just come off the connector, simple youll see if its come off soon as u unclip the gator

but does the whole centre console have to be removed from a sporting, to get at the wire/switch to check it ??
