I'm after some alloysd for my punto and i was hoping someone could recommend the right size for them? I dont want to buy them unless i know they wont rub or scrape on the arch.

Ide like 16's but 15" would be fine. Help me out here people.

Cheers

Matt

16's should fit fine, 17's can fit but wrong offset tyre size can cause probs, have you thought of putting the active sport alloys on the car and just lowering it

Yeh, ive had the idea, but at the price of the standard wheels it seems pointless to pay for them when for an extra, say £50-100 i could get a nice set of 16's or along them lines.

I cant make my mind up to be honest. I probrably will end up with the sporting wheels. Thanks for the idea mate.

Matt

well to be fair not many people make 16s and or 16s tyres so you gotta be careful about that :)
15s and get it lowered :)
17s and get it lowered :)

if u want done well could alwayz take it somewhere i got mine from R-TEC in st albans and they are great help found the right alloys and the best wheels. got 17s and lowered 40mm all around and not had rubbing :) but its a mk1 not sure if there is much diff tho :)

Yeh ive noticed the lack of 16s lol i rekon theyre the good equalibrium but nvm. 15s are too small and 17s cause rubbing lol cant win really lol

Might just get my clifford alarm in a few weeks then get the stereo going.

modified, the front needs lowering more, have u used gt springs.

on a mk2 15s look good imo, 17s can look too big... but if theyve got the right offset you wont get any scrubbage.

if your after a clifford alarm fitted in manchester, try sq plus.

Yeah sq plus in trafford park, they supply and fit, i got my clifford alarm from there, and ive never heard a bad word said about there fitment!

I need help on alloy advice

I have a MK 3 fiat punto...
im not looking to modify it to the extreme i just want to put some decent alloys on it...
this is my 1st car lol and i just want to smarten it up because im fed up of rolling on plastic dinner plates :D.
i have been reading the conversation you have just had with matt and i sort of understand....but not really
any advice??

Callum

By Mk 3 do you mean the grande? or my model?

I wouldn't recomment 17s of you have my model unless your willing to spend money on the arches because mine scrape on a metal plate above the wheel on bumps or with too many people in the back. But like i said when i was buying my wheels, 15s are a bit too small to look nice uless you lower the car.

obviously it isnt too expansive to lower a car now a days but obviously it may effect your insurance.

If its a grande punto though you should have no problem sticking 17s on. Best of luck to you! :slayer:
