I have spent time thinking over upgrading my Punto 2b factory speakers, and found lots of info but conflicting info with having to buy special adapters for the speaker connections, and special rings to fit better rear speakers, and then people breaking the front door speaker grills on removal which cost a fortune second hand when I came across this:

Now I am no expert in what these will sound like but they are genuine fiat approved speaker upgrade kit with KENWOOD speakers and comes with all 4 speakers and the front door plastic grills as well (they must have known the old ones will break when you pull them off) and also comes with the surrounds. I know the rear ones are still only 10cm but sure this will improve the sound and as its an official FIAT part is made to be compatible. I image this is "new" old stock as for £30 with free delivery seems cheap for every things including all plastics that themselves would seems to cost me nearly as much on their own. Hope it helps someone who wants to quickly swap out their old speakers for new with everything fitting first time and everything supplied in the kit. :)

I want yo buy this kit, but they dont send to spain, don't know why... I bought lot of things for my Fiat in UK.

anyone can buy it for me and sent to spain ?? i will pay shipping cost and some beers for the time...PM me

Regards

Well it arrived and is brilliant, all plug and play, just unclip all the old bits and this fits in, sound is much better, louder, more base and a bargain at £28 with free delivery for a set of 4 KENWOOD speakers. :)

How easy is it to fit this set? Is there any trim to remove other than speaker covers etc? Looking at buying it but wondering how easy it is to do

Also the website says they are only upto the mk2, did you have any trouble fitting them in your mk2b?

It is dead easy.
For the fronts, pull the speaker covers off, I found prising them off from the front of the door then the top and bottom was the easiest. Then you need a screwdriver to take the three screws out. Unplug the speaker, plug the new one in, screw it in and put the cover back on.
The backs are just as easy, if you look under the speaker you'll see the tabs that the cover is clipped in by. Push in on the metal clip while you prise the top off, then two screws hold the speaker in, again, undo the screws, unplug the speaker, plug the new one in, do the screws up and put the cover back on.
An hour tops to do all 4.
Perfect fit on the 2B.

Thanks for getting back to me, thinking of ordering them tonight. My speakers sound pretty good atm and quite bassy, hoping a previous owner hasn't already done this.

Mines the active sport model, would the stock speakers be the same as a standard one, as the stock head unit was a blaupunkt one until I changed it

As you have the 'sport' model, does it have the factory sub fitted? It is on the right hand side of the boot, can't miss it!
Pretty sure the speakers in the sport will be the normal Fiat ones and not upgrades, take the covers off ans see what is under them.

Sadly I didn't have a factory fitted sub in the car. Unless its hidden! Haha.

But bought an installed one yesterday. Seems to be working alright, couple minor issues but all sorted now.

I did have the standard speakers, worn out old paper cones when I checked. The new ones look and sound so much better. Really impressed for the price and the fact they are straight swaps for the factory ones.

have just got a punto mk2 2000 with no rear speakers are the wires already there or do i have to put them in my self ?

Most of the time No....

Pull the hu out and see if you have them leaving via the cars harness

Usually they wonder down to the passenger (uk car) where there is a big multiplug
Where it them runs off to the back

I had factory rears and the factory signal on wire
Rear speakers were good to solder into
But since i had no subwoofer - it was terminated in passenger footwell and ive had to splice and add wire in
