Hello!

I was thinking about a list of a comparison of the features of pre and post facelift version of the Punto mk2.
Something like this:

One click electric window: mk2a: no mk2b: yes

If anyone has information about the features, please post it here.

Features as in what?
They are the same car

As for mk2b - they have press and hold windows, never seen one touch window setup, would love to see it

Most changes are cosmetic
Front bumper
Rear hatch
Interior trims
Headlights
Bonnet
Rear bumper
Dash is different

The electrics have changed a little too
Mostly making canbus changes
Powersteeri changed its setup (relay-less)
Stereo too (canbus on)
Dash wont work in a mk2
There is a changs in heater connectors that prevent the earthing issue

Mechanical wise
Non abs got rid of the fixed restrictors and got a load valve on rear axle

Ziggy

Our old mk2b multijet HGT did have one touch electric windows, most likely due to it being the top of the range model.

Mk2b multijet dynamic didn't have them.

Should also add they introduced climate control on the mk2b and optional cruise control for £150 that no body every specced up.... except on our HGT

What about tempomat / cruise control?

I'm talking about the top range models only for the comparison, not low spec.

Could you post an image of your center console buttons, with the window buttons?

My MK2b Active is pretty much exactly the same spec as the Mk2 Active sport we had apart from it doesn't have a light in the boot! The electric windows are most definitely not one touch, which can be a good thing if you've got wind deflectors on. Our Astra has one touch and it thinks the deflector is in the way so they go up and down up and down.

No puntos have bounce back even with one touch

Other minor differences...different interior door trim and different seat cloth, My active sport has a trip computer that my 2 Mk2 A's didnt have. Dash is different colour (my 2/b is all black well apart from the silver centre console bit) 2/a was a sort of black and grey mixed affair...2/B gets a Fiat badge in the middle of the tailgate, 3 door has different rear lights (clear indicators), plus reflectors on tailgate....but basically yeah it's the same car

Punto mk2b have these new features that mk2 didn't have:
- automatic dual zone climate control system
- CONNECT OBN
- cruise control
- parking sensor
- rain sensor
- new abs module (abs 8.0 instead of abs 5.3) with newer abs module came ESP and Hill holder features
- window airbags (so instead of maximum 4 airbags, some punto mk2b have 6)
- fix and go kit instead of spare wheel
- dashboard with bigger lcd have outside temperature sensor.

My Mk2/B has none of those (n)
No climate control
No cruise control
No Parking sensor (but doesnt need it anyway)
No ABS
No Window Airbags
I have a proper spare wheel
No outside temperature sensor
Are you sure your'e not thinking of Grande/Mk3 ?

Car brands dont sale the same configuration in all the countries .
In one country you may have climate control and in another not.
The local resellers make a list of what they want based on what other brands sell.

Almost all of this stuff depended on the spec of the car, it certainly wasn't all standard, yes there were some differences country to country but things like dual zone climate control, cruise control and auto wipers and parking sensors where never standard items except on the very top of the range cars, even then certain things were cost options.

Things like curtain (window) airbags for example were available on top end mk2 cars (hlx and HGT) as well as some of the higher end sporting models. They were not exclusive to the Mk2B

yes, I'm sure. Here is punto with almost all off it: https://www.autoscout24.com/offers/...5dacf1-b25f-4ee7-b23f-6cb73c48044d?cldtidx=17

It's not sporting, but should be emotion version, which was top range model. Also were was steering wheel controls for radio on mk2b.
North europe countries (Norway, Swedan, Denmark) had heated seats and headlight washers, but what was on both mk2 and mk2b.

as i posted above, i got none of those things on my 2/b that were listed
IMHO 2/b doesnt need parking sensors, i never had any problem reversing into tight spaces anyway, car is easy to judge where back end is.
Knowing what Fiat electrics are like seems to me like a whole lot more stuff to go wrong
