So I bought my MK2b In April, It's since had a heap of new parts (Done at a FIAT garage, having a brother that works there is like putty in my hands). Anyway, it's really passed its MOT with no advisories, so you'd think it'd be sound.
The gearbox on my mine has always been a bit clunky going into gears. Anyway, it had been getting progressively worse so I assumed it was a lack of lubrication, the linkage seems OK.
So I come to drain the oil and the amount that comes out is astonishing
Edit: there was about a shot glass worth of oil in the tray, at a push.
Needless to say, I've cleaned it all up refilled it. I put two litres in it, but that still didn't send it overflowing?? It's better than nothing through right? I can see the level in it, it's quite full just not all the way to the top.
Anyway, it has had a noticeable difference, but it's still a little clunky... I thought the oil would pretty much instantly work its way in, or can it sometimes take a little while?
