Guys please help, I am so stuck. :bang:

The Car
The car is a Punto mk2, LHD. From 2004.

Prelude
I noticed a classic christmas tree problem, at the same time as the dreaded yellow bulb started blinking when i braked, with my tail lights and immediately suspected a bad earth connection. I took the clusters off and cleant the connections. I found one on the left side that was obviously not connecting properly since it was all arced. Cleant that and put it all back together. Tested all lights and they worked properly.

The problem
After the above repair, on the way home, my spouse told me that I had no dipped headlights. I took a look at the bulb and it seemed fine and both would have had to have blown. Well they both did and this was the first time I tested fuses and switching the dipped headlights relay with the high beam relay and both of those relays worked fine. After hours I tested the socket for power and found 12v right there. New bulbs and they work.

  • The instrument clusters backlight does not turn on when I turn on the dipped headlights.

  • The indication light for dipped headlights does not turn on when the dipped are on and working

  • When I press the rear fog light button I hear no relay click nor get an indicator light. (I have not yet confirmed if the light actually turn on or not, will edit an update when I have)

What I've tried
I checked all the fuses near the steering column. Also with a continuity tester.
I checked most fuses in the engine fuse box. And extra carefully all that were listed on the wiring diagrams.
I switched dipped and high beam relays to check if one of those was gone.

So I think it is a relay issue, one or the other big relay in engine bay or at the steering column. How do I test that? Are there other relays that affect all three (remember it is never lupus or a separate issues).

Next on the list was going over some more wire diagrams.
Now the dipped headlights do work, the light indicating dipped headlights (the green lights on icon) also works. However it does only work with the walk in feature, not when you turn on the lights as normal.

The fog light does not light when you press the button nor does the indicator light come on.

The head light adjustment does not turn on at the instrument panel and as such adjusting does not work.

What relay controls these features? Anyone know? Where is it located?

Next I went over the relays using a relay base I connected 12v and ground on input pins and a multimeter set to continuity beep over the output pins. All relays work.

Next I decided to start from the top and redo what I'd done earlier. One of fuses that worked earlier was blown at precisly the point it should be blown F15. Exchanged that for a new one and it all works again.

The last sentence in my last paragraph in my last post.
It works. In the process of fixing the bigger issue I left a fuse out. It works now.

Thank you kindly for your help and work on this forum. Much apreciated!
