Dear fellow Punto users!

I have a Punto mk2b radio (head unit), the mp3 cd player type.
Everything works fine, but the volume is too low. I have to set it to 30 with engine off to hear the radio or anything. This would not be a real problem, but the unit always starts with volume 20 if it was set higher last time.

My old mk2 casette player radio had good volume, 10 was the usual level I used.

Any idea what is wrong? Could it be tuned up or repaired?

How many speakers?
Sounds like the internal amp has possibly died...

Or youve lost a few speakers

6 speakers, 4 of them was replaced with new ones a few month ago.
I was too thinking of the amplifier...

did you match the speaker impedances to the amplifier?
its important or output trannies go plop on lots of aftermarket stuff

No... but with the stock Punto mk2 cassette player head unit, the volume is fine.

Maybe LOUD function is disabled in radio settings?

I tried with LOUD on and off, but same thing..
I have to set volume to 35 or more to get normal level.

So.. to change the question a little bit.

On the Punto mk2b, with the stock CD (or MP3) player head unit, what volume do you listen to?
