Right workshop manual

Hello,

I'm new here and from The Netherlands. I'm sorry for my English.

Since a few months I am the proud owner of a Fiat Punto from 2008. I discovered that the fact that the Punto Evo already was manufactured in that year causes some problems by finding the right parts and information.

After searching on this forum I found out that a Punto model year 2008 is mk2b, am I right?

I'm trying to find a workshop manual for my car. I found one from Haynes on a webshop, but it says its for model years 2003-2007 (As I'm new here I'm not allowed to post URL's). Is my car different from this type or is this the right manual?

Thanks for the reactions!

Re: Right workshop manual

Welcome

What does your Punto look like? http://www.puntosports.co.uk/models.htm

The Mk2b continued in some markets as the Punto Classic while the Grande (Mk3) was being built so it's possible that you do have a Mk2b, but I think more likely you have a Grande.

Thank you for the reactions!

My car looks like the Mk2b, so I think I have the classic (not in the last way because there's a label on the car with "Classic" on it..).

Cool, in that case don't worry too much about the year, a workshop manual which covers the 2003-2005 model will cover your vehicle too, as far as I know they didn't change anything major (the 2001-2003 version is mechanically very similar too).

Re: Right workshop manual

Thanks!

The first thing I did was installing a carkit so I was looking for a YouTube movie or instruction for removing the centre console. I discovered that the position of de the radio is not the same in every mk2, so most instructions didn't work for me. I allready installed the carkit, so if that's (almost) the only difference that's no problemen.

I'm going to order the book, thanks again for your help!
