Whenever I brake or indicate left the bulb warning light comes on, I've checked all the lights and all are on, the only thinkg I've noticed is that when I use the left signal the brake light on that side is flashing on and off too. Any ideas?

That'll be an earthing issue on the rear light unit. Take it out and clean all the connectors. You'll need the little plastic tool that is in the spare wheel unit to do that, doesn't take long. Have a look in the manual that came with the car (users manual) it'll have a section in there about changing the rear bulbs.

hello, started to randomly getting the warning light for this when breaking, not always but it does accure, i didnt get it for a week and today at the MOT it happend again when they tested breakes and stuff and i saw the "christmas lights" in person. they let me pass but i have to fix it asap.

now i saw the video posted above and did as shown, the earth was indeed corroded and the other part of the connector where the pins go in, the earth one was alot more "spreaded" than the other 3 pin holders, i cleaned the corroded pin rlly good and pushes the other connector together so it holds the pin better.

now i tested and all the lights work. but i cannot replicate the events when the warning light occured ,so i dont know if i fixed it or not. is it posible that i dont get a warning light even if my lights are still ging crazy? or does the warning light always shows. i dont want to drive around thinking its all fine where there is a rave behind my car :D

Should be OK but if you want to check and really have no-one to help, find a light coloured wall or even better a low shop window and back up to it in the dark and use it as a reflector so you can see your lights.

When i service cars - im usually on my own
How do i check all the lights / checkin flr disco?

My phone
Set to record
Get a good angle and then go through all the lights :)

Usually if there is a slight light issue the warning comes on
The system i think can detect back flow when earthing fault but dont hold me to that

i have a brother that helped me test it for 15 minutes. it all worked fine, but it also worked fine 5minutes before the MOL so yeah... it usually accured when driving so testing at home wont help.

the 2nd part is what i wante to know. i hope it will show me the warning again if its still not ok. but if not i hope i fixed it.
