Hi all as im sure we all know this is something covered and asked a lot but please dont assume or say its not worth it as i have evaluated it a lot and for me personally it is.

So here goes i have a 2003 mk2 1.2 8v and want to swap to a 1.2 16v i have most of the information i know i can splice into the wiring loom to make that work, i have all the auxiliaries as well but what im still a bit confused about is if i need the fuse box/keys and speedometer from the donor car or will i be able to just use ecu and wiring loom?

Thanks in advance

1.2 8v got cable throttle body, 16v got fly by wire, you need throttle body + gas pedal, 16v probably got abs, you need all 4 sensors+cables or just take fuse out, you need ecu set from 16v
also bigger discs front
no need to splice wires, engine bay cables are on their own

Got the throttle body didnt know about gas pedal, already got drilled and grooved discs
I'll take the fuse out so does that mean i need the 16v fuse box? And ecu set means ecu and what else?

But the engine cables wont connect to the actual car loom itself?

So apart from the pedal and the cable what else is needed for the pedal setup?

I cant get the speedometer but can get all rest of ecu set would that be a problem?

Dash can be proxy aligned - To make it work correctly with a different ecu setup
however the mileage will remain at the higher figure
been either set on the dash - if yours had the higher mileage

Or if the donor ecu setup had the higher mileage
