Try the V5 logbook! Should have it on there.

if you cant find it there; look at the timing belt cover (on the left, drivers side), follow it down to the bottom and the number will be on a flat edge on the engine block just above the coolant pipe feeding the water pump.
easier than it sounds

why? the engine numbers are still in the same place

on top of the block on the left below the head on sticking out flat bit at rear of water pump, normally covered in dirt so you cant read them
