driveshaft nut vs socket wrench 1-0

finally brakes after years of abuse, but oddly teeths inside didnt break, it still works

That's a big socket to be using a ratchet on. When training, back in the dark ages of the early seventies, we were always told never to use a ratchet to 'crack' a nut, use a breaker bar, then swap to the ratchet to spin it off.

Was the ratchet handle curved like that for some reason, or have you bent it when tightening or undoing nuts?

Ratchets are not meant for that, use a breaker bar as said above.

it got bent while undoing driveshaft nut last year and till then it stayed like that while undoing every nut and bolt that windy couldnt

Treat yourself to a set of 3/4" drive sockets. Not that expensive, about 3 decent ratchets worth!

Decent tools don't bend either they break!

I got a 3ft long breaker bar from Machine Mart. Almost too heavy to lift, but anything I can't undo with that can stay done up.

this would break at the t section, and i got 1 meter pipe to undo bolts

i just got 300mm one which i insert in to hollow 1m metal pipe, pic above

your ratchet plastically deformed. Next stop is break. I value my face and teeth too much to use a tool in that condition...

Had to use it to try and undo some over tightened wheel nuts on the wifes Corsa....this didn't break, but the Socket did
