i was wondering if you take blue cable steering column pas sensor with ecu and pas motor from mk2 and put it in to mk2b facelift which originally comes with yellow cable sensor

so i was playing around for few hours today to find out that it appears it doesnt work- unless that blue sensor column got bad sensor


anyone tried this yet?

red pas light stayed on before i even started car, just switched key to on

2B uses a relayless more powerful Steering motor than the Mk2 and most of the ECU are Canbus. Thats probably why the Mk2 bits don't work on 2B

i know about relayless pas motor, so what are you saying, that it didnt work cuz of body ecu?

most likely, after all lots of the electrics aren't interchangeable because of the canbus on 2B. Instrument panel for one isn't interchangable.
