I've wondered a few times about a towbar, for a bike rack or small trailer in the future

However - i rather do like the sporting bumper....
Dont wanna go smashing my new one up to fit a towbar

Anybody got a picture of the mk2b sporting bumper and towbar?

I know it'd need to be a swan neck - not a fixed

I have found a couple, hope it helps you out :)

Ooooo... was it a straight fit or did it require the bumper to be cut?
Or was it a special flange drop it lower?

I had to cut out a small part of the bumper out. the hole wasn't any bigger than it had to be, I basically only had to cut the bottom out and around 30mm into the top section to get it to fit correctly, I then painted it the same colour as the car so it didn't stand out as much, then fitted the ball. The connector was mounted just underneath the bumper on the left so it was out of sight. :) Sadly I don't have her anymore, otherwise I'd take a few more photos for you.

Alot of cars have about that sorta cut out to allow for the hitch to drop down

Was it a bog standard hitch - as in a Witter complete tow bar? Based on the punto?

Okay - Some Months later
A good New update

2 types of Punto Rear Arse which is what caused me issues

Certain Punto's Behind the Bumper have an Impact Rail
Some Like mine - Instead now have Impact Foams

So certain models dont get the impact rail - cant have the standard Towbar

Witter STILL DO make a Towbar for the "sport" setups where its missing the bar
Its a Witter FT58 - AR

I've just oredered mine from a company Called
PFJones

Not on the website - you'll have to speak to one of the very very busy support teams :)

Downside
Cost... Its nearly Double that of a standard Punto towbar (£100 ish)
Mines just cost 210
But im paying to help keep my car original - and no bumper cuts

When i get the Kit - i'll update the thread with Pictures of fitting it / Basis to make a guide
