Technical Mrs Andys new car (welding and bleeding)

If you're interested I can sell you some genuine Fiat brochures from the period... your colour and model of car features quite prominently...

One is the general brochure and the other has all the specs, options and extras.

£10 with P&P to you.

I won't put it in the classifieds unless someone has a hissy-fit... ;)

Changed thermostat recently followed by the gurgling on start up. I overfilled the coolant, put cap back on and drove round till warm. Then slowly released the bleed on the heater hoses and all the air came out (but be careful). Repeated again then did the bleed on radiator and for the 1st time with Punto no gurgling on start up.

Well all was well in the world it took her to work and back for a week (2 miles within 20 to 30mph limits. But today on the way to feed the ducks romped up the hill out of town in the nsl but then it crapped itself shaking shuddering and misfiring till the eml came on flashing....

Got the dreaded PO300 had new plugs and filterd so gave the ht leads a good tug and cyl 3 lead fell apart further investigation and that plug was wet with fuel reading Danny's post looks like its the lead

Nb also had new battery too

Spark plug,
HT lead,
slipped valve timing,
duff fuel,
clogged air filter,
stuck open evap valve,
duff lambda sensor,
incorrect valve clearances,
etc.

So got new leads ordered and a pair of coils

It runs just as **** minus the ht lead to cyl 3 so hoping its a simple fix

Its been drinking like George best on a stag do so once they come I will check can belt and timing marks
