I've posted yesterday about oil change and thanks for the help.

Is the gearbox oil seperate? It's an Automatic punto 2002. I'm guessing it's the same? Buy the oil and filter, and it removes the same?
Correct me if I'm horribly wrong please lol

Is your autobox the CVT box, or the later dualogic automated manual? I'm assuming it is the CVT if you've found a filter on it.

The CVT filter is available on Ebay.
Oil needs to be specific for CVT boxes.

Are you changing it just as a good idea, or because you have a fault?

Love the CVT, miss mine every day. Only had it Aug 03 to Apr 04, did 17,000 miles in that time.

It's the cvt not dual logic.
The gear jerks quite hard when it's put into drive, so giving her a service to hope it fixes the problem. Plus she's done 57,000 and I can't find any service history.
What have you got now?
I haven't had a chance to properly get under her to look yet until my jacks turn up!

I can't remember now what type of clutch it uses. Early CVT, such as the Uno and original Panda used an electromagnetic one, which eventually gives up. I seem to remember that the Punto 2 uses a hydraulic drive, like a conventional automatic, but I don't have the manual on disc any more.
Clutch should just drag gently when gear engaged, like a manual just on the bite point. Sadly, I don't think an oil change will fix it, but always worth a try first.

Had 6 years of just the school car, a series of Corsas all with BSM livery, then a year of Fiat 500. missed not having rear doors or headrests. so bought the Panda Alessi, see the avatar pic.
